The Michigan Audubon Society is holding an open house from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, July 11 at the Lake Bailey Sanctuary on M-26, 4.1 miles past the Little Silver River at the end of Lake Bailey, and the Brockway Mountain Sanctuary on Brockway Mountain Drive 2.5 miles east of M-26.The Lake Bailey and Brockway Mountain Sanctuaries are two jewels of Michigan Audubon's sanctuary work. Meet with stewardship members of the local chapter at the Audubon welcome station at the Lake Bailey Sanctuary and enjoy flowering orchids, guided trail hikes, local ecology, landscape photography, leave-no-trace ethics and unique geology.
