The Adventures in History series presents "A Historical Tour of Delaware and the Delaware Mine" for adults only on Thursday, July 16 from 10 am to 3 pm. Meet at the Eagle Harbor Community Building on M-26 in Eagle Harbor.Spend the day learning about life in the town of Delaware. Meet at the Eagle Harbor Community Building at 10 am for a presentation of photographs, maps and other material that provide a glimpse of life at one of the earliest mines in the Keweenaw. After lunch, drive to the Delaware Mine and take a walk to see exhibits and ruins of the mine and surrounding town. An underground tour of the mine will also be available. Bring a lunch or sign up for a hot pasty. Wear comfortable walking shoes.The Adventures in History in Keweenaw County Michigan for Children and Adults is sponsored by the Keweenaw County Historical Society. Pre-registration is required.
