Celebrate the mid-point of winter in Hancock at the Heikinpaiva Mid-Winter Festival January 17 & 24.

Talvitohinat

The 4th Annual Talvitohinat (Winter Scramble) cross country ski races take place at the Michigan Tech ski trails in Houghton January 17.

Copper Island Classic

Join us for the 42nd annual classic-style-only cross country ski event at the intimate and well-groomed Chassell Ski Trails January 18.

Winter Carnival

Located at Houghton, this festival runs from February 5 to February 8.

Ice Fishing Derby

The 18th Annual Greenlight Resort Ice Fishing Derby will be held February 14 on Chassell Bay off US-41 in Chassell.

Junior Bear Chase

The Copper Country Ski Tiger's Junior Bear Chase will take place on Saturday, March 7 at the Swedetown Ski Trails in Calumet. This event takes place on March 7.

River Valley Bank Great Bear Chase

The 30th Annual River Valley Bank Great Bear Chase Cross Country Ski Race will be held at the Swedetown Trails in Calumet on Sunday, March 8. This event takes place on March 8.

Migratory Bird Day

The 4th Annual Keweenaw International Migratory Bird Day festival will be held on May 16 & 17 in Copper Harbor. This event takes place on May 16 and 17.

Seafood Fest

The Seafood Fest, sponsored by the Houghton Rotary Club, is held on the Houghton waterfront in conjunction with Bridgefest. This festival runs from June 18 to June 20.

Bridgefest

The Bridgefest Celebration, always held on Father's Day weekend, takes place at various locations throughout Houghton and Hancock. This festival runs from June 19 to June 21.

Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival

Located at Houghton, this event takes place on June 20.

Longest Day Fishing Tournament

The Longest Fishing Tournament is held on the waters of Lac La Belle, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor and Lake Medora. This event takes place on June 20.

PastyFest 2009

Main Street Calumet presents PastyFest 2009 June 27. This presentation takes place on June 27.

Fireworks Cruise

Enjoy the best seat in town for the Lake Linden fireworks on Friday, July 3 aboard the Keweenaw Star.

4th of July Celebrations

Keweenaw communities from South Range to Copper Harbor celebrate the 4th of July with parades, childrens games, BBQs, entertainment and good old-fashioned family fun.

Eagle Harbor Art Fair

Located at Eagle Harbor, this presentation takes place on August 8 and 9.

Heritage Celebration

The annual Heritage Celebration takes place August 15-16 in Agassiz Park on 4th Street in Calumet. This festival takes place on August 14 and 15.

Great Deer Chase Mountain Bike Race

The 4th Annual Great Deer Chase mountain bike race will be held on August 15 at the Swedetown Trail system off Swedetown Road in Calumet. This event takes place on August 15.

Art in the Park
